Bhutan Power Corporation Ltd. (BPC) signed contract with M/s. Erhard Automation (a company based in Austria) for the rehabilitation of Chumey Mini Hydel, Bumthang that shall be upgraded from 1.5 MW to 1.737 MW. The contract was signed on 23rd December 2015 at BPC boardroom between the Managing Director of BPC, Gem Tshering, and Proprietor of M/s. Erhard Automation, Erhard Hugo. The contract price for the rehabilitation work is USD 2.431 Million that shall be fully funded by BPC. This 24-month project is expected to improve the reliability of Bumthang Dzongkhag meeting its energy needs. BPC shall work on rehabilitation works of Chenary Mini Hydel, Trashigang and Gidagom Mini Hydel, Thimphu in 2016.
