BPC bill payment via BOB -internet banking goes real time

To ease customers waiting in queue for a long time to pay BPC electricity bill, BPC in collaboration with BOB   introduced its payment via BOB internet banking long time back. However,  payment via Internet Banking required  manual update in the BPC billing system taking at least a day to update in BPC system. Nevertheless, BPC and BOB has finally come up with a real time transaction that allows immediate update in both BOB and BPC system as and when the payment is made.

All the BPC bill payment done via BOB Internet banking from 21^st March 2018 will be updated in BPC’s SAP system on real time basis. Unlike the previous provision through the same facility (Internet banking), the billing clerks in ESD-Thimphu need not download the bank statement from BOB website and update their SAP system taking a day to update which finally affects the due dates of the customers making payment at the last day.
